14th February 2019: Ashiana Public School, Sec 46, Chandigarh held its Sports Fiesta on 14th February with great zeal and gusto. The event was held at Sports Stadium, Sector 46, and Chandigarh where in more than 600 students from classes I-V participated with enthusiasm. The events organized were Drill, Aerobics, Zumba, Physical Training and Taekwondo.

It was a weeklong event in which various Team events such as races, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Badminton etc. were organized along with individual events paving way for the children to display their skills and talent in the field of sports. 

The event commenced with the recitation of Gayatri Mantra by the students followed by an array of events such as Aerobics, Zumba, Physical Training, Yoga etc. The students also competed in various races in addition to various track and field events. The audience was treated to a visual extravaganza and impressive drills on drum beats by the students. The students displayed a perfect amalgamation of movements, patterns and strikes showing flexibility and agility in various exercises.

The Director Ms. Lalita Prakash and Principal, Ms. Monika Sharma congratulated the students.

Such endevours are imperative on part of the school to inculcate in the students virtues of teamwork, healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship.
