Hindustan Times conducted Hindustan Scholarship Programme for classes VI-IX wherein the students wrote an essay on the topic- How to increase tourism potential in India?. Hindustan Times received 23,815 applications from students of 127 schools in Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali out of which 150 applicants were shortlisted for the interview round. With great pride, we share that Aarushi Seghal of class IX was shortlisted and invited to the HT office in Mohali for final selection by the senior editorial staff of HT. Aarushi Sehgal carved a niche for herself by getting selected among the finalists and won a scholarship of Rs. 25,000/ along with a trophy and a certificate. The event was held at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The chief guest Dr. Diwan, Director, Health Services, Chandigarh felicitated the students with prizes.
